From June 27th to July 1st, 2023, Hospices of Hope Moldova organized the eighth edition of the Hospice Bike Tour, a charitable cycling event that brought together enthusiastic cyclists and compassionate individuals from various countries. The aim of this event was to support individuals in the final stages of their lives and raise funds for the palliative care services offered by Hospices of Hope Moldova.

The event kicked off with an opening ceremony in front of the OTP Bank in Chișinău, the main partner of the event. After this, participants embarked on a memorable journey covering a route of over 800 kilometers. Destinations included impressive destinations such as Iași, Bicaz, Viscri, Sinaia, and Bucharest. With determination and passion, cyclists set out to raise 500 euros each through donations, to support incurable patients from different regions of the Republic of Moldova, and to contribute to the development of the free palliative care services provided by Hospices of Hope Moldova.

The conclusion of the event was marked by a special moment at the Casa Speranței Hospice for Children in Adunații Copăceni, Bucharest, where cyclists were warmly welcomed by the local team and Anna Perolls, CEO of Hospices of Hope. In her address to the participants, Anna expressed her gratitude for their valuable contribution to the palliative care in Moldova and emphasized the significance of this charitable campaign that unites compassionate individuals for a common cause.

Through this wonderful project, Hospices of Hope Moldova managed to raise over 500,000 MDL. Every contribution, big or small, will make a significant difference in the lives of those in need.

The Bike Tour 2023 was a great opportunity to bring local communities together, promote a healthy lifestyle, and support a noble cause. The funds raised through the participation in this event will be utilized to ensure palliative care services at the recently opened day center - Centrul Speranței Chișinău.
