Providing comfort, hope, and precious time with loved ones to as many people as possible who are facing serious incurable illnesses has always been and continues to be the primary mission of Hospices of Hope Moldova.
In this context, we are delighted to announce that we have taken another step toward this goal by establishing a new multidisciplinary palliative care team in the city of Bălți. This means that even more children and adults will now have access to completely free palliative care.
This initiative has been made possible through our collaboration with the non-governmental organization „Rebeca-Nord” from Bălți, led by Ms. Elena Adașan. We thank them for their openness and wish them every success in this important mission!
According to studies, between 25,000 and 28,000 people in the Republic of Moldova need palliative care each year, yet only about 5,000 actually receive these services. Hospices of Hope Moldova works tirelessly to expand access to care for people with serious illnesses, and this is made possible thanks to the support of our donors. With their help, our services are now available in Bălți as well.
The new team in Bălți has undergone comprehensive training aimed at strengthening practical skills for providing palliative care at home. The training covered the full care process — from patient intake and initial assessment to managing medical records and coordinating interventions within a multidisciplinary team. The program was led by Ms. Ludmila Postica, trainer in palliative care services, and Ms. Dorina Caraman, coordinator of the Day Center “Centrul Speranței” in Chișinău.
This initiative represents a significant step in building a professional team ready to provide palliative care services at the highest standards.
With every step we take, we move closer to a world where no patient has to face pain and fear alone. Beyond everything, the most precious gift remains time — time spent with loved ones, in peace, with care and meaning.

Every cycling enthusiast knows that some bike journeys are not measured only in kilometres, but in the emotions and personal transformation you experience once the ride is complete.
This spring, Hospices of Hope Moldova invites you to turn your passion for cycling into an opportunity to change lives, combining adventure, friendship, and a noble cause into a truly meaningful experience.
Now in its 11th edition, taking place 14–17 May in the Republic of Moldova, the Hospice Bike Tour promises to be more inspiring and meaningful than ever before. Depending on their availability and level of preparation, participants can choose to join the challenge for one day, two days, or the entire route, cycling through Moldova’s picturesque landscapes while rediscovering the authentic beauty of our country.

This year, we have set a more ambitious goal than ever: raising funds for the construction of the first Palliative Care Hospital in the Republic of Moldova - a place where children and adults living with incurable illnesses such as cancer will receive free medical, social, and psychological care.
We plan to launch the construction process for the new hospital by the end of this year. It will be located in Bubuieci commune, on a 4,100 m² land, with a capacity of approximately 30 beds for children and adults, and will be able to support around 250 patients annually.
Hospice Bike Tour is more than just a cycling event. It is an experience that brings together brave people with big hearts who are willing to push their limits in order to help others. Be one of those who take on the challenge of cycling through Moldova’s scenic landscapes for a truly meaningful cause.
In addition to completing the cycling challenge, each participant is encouraged to raise €500, a contribution that will help lay the foundation for the future Palliative Care Hospital.

While it may seem like a small gesture, its impact can be life-changing for those who need it most. This year, we invite you to make a conscious choice and redirect your 2% to Hospices of Hope Moldova, supporting people living with incurable illnesses who deserve to spend their final moments with dignity, comfort, and without pain.

Why Hospices of Hope Moldova?
Hospices of Hope Moldova is a charitable organization dedicated to improving the quality of life of patients and their families by providing high-quality palliative care. We offer free medical, psychological, and social support to people across the Republic of Moldova who are facing incurable illnesses.
Who are the beneficiaries?
People living with cancer and other incurable illnesses are the direct beneficiaries of your generosity. By allocating 2% of your income tax to Hospices of Hope Moldova, you actively contribute to improving their quality of life and easing their physical and emotional suffering.
How Can You Redirect Your 2%?
Redirecting your 2% is simple and costs you nothing. You can do this in one of the following ways:
1. At the State Tax Service

Be the person who makes a difference — because even small gestures can change the world in a big way.
The Mărțișor for Hope, a traditional symbol of spring, made of intertwined red and white threads handcrafted by the beneficiaries and volunteers of Hospices of Hope Moldova, was presented in the plenary session of the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova as a gesture of solidarity, compassion, and shared responsibility toward people living with incurable illnesses.

As part of the #UnMartisorPentruSperanta (A martisor for Hope) campaign, we had the honor of offering Martisors to each of the 101 Members of Parliament, symbolizing our commitment to turning life’s most difficult challenges into resilience and hope for the beneficiaries of Hospices of Hope Moldova.
We extend our sincere appreciation to Mrs. Ludmila Adamciuc for her support of our cause and for the openness with which she received this symbolic gesture. Through your support, we are able to continue providing free, home-based palliative care to individuals suffering from incurable diseases
Over the next three years, Hospices of Hope Moldova aims to build the country’s first dedicated Palliative Care Hospital, where both children and adults will have access to specialized medical care free of charge.
This represents a significant milestone for the healthcare system of the Republic of Moldova. The new hospital is planned to be built in Bubuieci commune, on a 4,100 m² plot of land, with a capacity of approximately 30 beds
Together, we bring hope and contribute to ensuring a dignified life, free from pain.
Hospices of Hope Moldova wishes you a spring filled with warmth, renewal, and hope.
