Day 2 of #HospiceBikeTour2025 was about other 150 challenging but meaningful kilometres for our brave cyclists, this time on the Iași – Gura Humorului.

An early morning, a long road travelled with effort and determination until the evening. All of this with a single purpose – supporting people who have serious incurable illnesses.

At Hospices of Hope Moldova, each patient receives free medical, social, and psychological assistance, both at home and in our day centers. This is possible thanks to the involvement of Hopsice Bike Tour participants, who chose to invest their time, energy, and resources in bringing comfort to those in need.

Today, Hospices of Hope Moldova kicked off the 10th edition of the charity sports event Hospice Bike Tour 2025. For 10 years, we’ve been turning kilometers into hope. For 10 years, we’ve been riding for those who no longer can.
This anniversary edition, we embarked on a journey of approximately 600 km, from Chișinău to Cluj-Napoca, with the mission of supporting people who suffer from incurable illnesses and need support in their daily struggle.
From the headquarters of OTP Bank in Chișinău, the main partner of the event, 20 amateur but brave cyclists set off. The goal for the first day: 150 km to Iași.

On 27 May 2025, Hospices of Hope Moldova, with the generous support of Her Excellency Fern Horine, Ambassador of the United Kingdom to the Republic of Moldova, and in collaboration with the Executive Director of Hospices of Hope Moldova, Veronica Dragnev-Sacara, and Graham Perolls, Founder of Hospices of Hope, hosted “An Evening of Hope” at the British Residence in Chișinău.

This special evening marked one year since the launch of home-based palliative care services in the municipality of Chișinău, delivered by the dedicated medical team of Hospices of Hope Moldova.

Her Excellency Fern Horine, UK Ambassador, spoke about the significant impact of the services provided by Hospices of Hope Moldova and highlighted the organization’s contribution to changing public perceptions of incurable illness.

The countdown has begun! On Sunday, 18 May, we kicked off the first cycling training session dedicated to the 10th edition of #HospiceBikeTour2025 — a heartfelt event that brings us together year after year for a cause that truly matters.

This time, 16 cycling enthusiasts completed an approximately 80 km route, riding from Chișinău to Căpriana and back. It was not only a physical training session, but also a moment to reconnect with the purpose that unites us all: preparing for the most meaningful charitable challenge of the year.

Between 14 and 18 June 2025, our team of cyclists will ride nearly 600 km in just four days, heading towards Cluj-Napoca, Romania. Alongside the physical challenge of covering such a demanding distance, each participant is also committed to raising €500, a contribution that will help beneficiaries of Hospices of Hope Moldova live their lives with dignity and without pain, until the very end.
