The purpose of this meeting was to review progress in palliative care over the last three years, including developments in Moldova. The leaders discussed each country’s challenges and set objectives for the next three years, focusing on increasing patient access to free palliative care services for adults and children.
On September 29, our capital hosted the country’s largest running event, the Chișinău Marathon. Traditionally, Hospices of Hope Moldova, which offers free palliative care services, participates in this initiative, forming the #HopeInMotion team. The team’s participants run to support people who need help in their fight against incurable illness.
100 people, including representatives from local and international companies, diplomats, business people, activists, and professional athletes.

After covering more than 540 km of challenging routes, pedaling under the sun and heat, enduring tests of character, and putting in tremendous effort, our cyclists have finally reached their destination—Vama Veche, Romania! Each of them chose to undertake this journey to support children and adults suffering from incurable diseases. For them, it’s an act of kindness; for us, it’s a shining example of what it means to be a hero.
