“She is like a ray of sunshine!” This is exactly how we would describe Mrs Maria, one of the beneficiaries of „Centrul Speranței Chișinău” Day Care Centre, developed by Hospices of Hope Moldova. It is no exaggeration to say that every time she visits us, she is the one who fills the entire medical team with her energy.

Although she was diagnosed with stage IV colon cancer, a devastating diagnosis, our beneficiary chose not to be overwhelmed by sadness. Instead, she decided to keep her spirit alive and full of optimism. The moments we spend with her remind us that behind every struggle lies a story of hope.

Beyond her positive attitude, Mrs Maria is also a talented artist. She sings with passion and writes poetry that reaches deep into the soul — art being her refuge from daily routine.

At the „Centrul Speranței Chișinău” Day Care Centre, Mrs Maria has found not only the medical support she needs, but also a community that understands her. She often shares how grateful she is to have a place where she can freely express her emotions, receive high-quality care free of charge, and, above all, feel that she is not alone in this fight.
