Period: June 27–July 1, 2023. The race will take place from Tuesday to Saturday, and on Sunday, the return will be organized with transport from Bucharest to Chisinau.
The 8th edition of the Hospice Bike Tour will take place from June 27 to July 1, 2023, and we will cycle to Hospice Casa Sperantei: Adunatii-Copaceni, Bucharest.
Hospice Bike Tour is an annual event dedicated to cycling lovers willing to combine sport with a good cause. Each of the participants, besides the challenge of riding over 750 km in 5 days, is also challenged to raise 500 EUR for incurable patients in different regions of Moldova.
The main goal of the event is to raise funds to support free palliative care services in Moldova and contribute to making the life of someone in need a little brighter.
Details of the route by day will be posted in the near future.
The charitable purpose has brought us here: to ride a rather complicated route to help children and adults suffering from cancer or other incurable diseases with a limited prognosis of life. We will dedicate this route to our beneficiaries.
CONDITIONS OF PARTICIPATION:
- Each participant will need a bike in good technical condition, preferably a road bike (racer);
- Be in physical shape to ride a route of over 750 km in 5 days;
- Attend (if possible) weekly training sessions;
- As a charity race, each participant has the goal to raise 500 euros - for free palliative care services offered in the Hospices of Hope Moldova network;
- Persons under 18 years of age can participate in the race only in the presence of a legal guardian;
- Payment for accommodation and food is not provided by the programme.
Organizers offer:
- Logistical support for the smooth running of the event (including hotel/food booking);
- Snacks for the tournament; water, drinks, fruit, energy bars;
- Spare parts subject to stock availability;
- Sports cycling jersey;
- Professional photos and videos from the tournament;
- Fundraising training for the project;
