The day center is a place of hope and support for all those in need of palliative care."

Ala Nemerenco, Minister of Health of the Republic of Moldova, stated: "We assure you of our unconditional support in your mission to offer services that provide tremendous support to the medical system and alleviate life in hospitals, maintaining patients in treatments and providing other much-needed services. It is crucial to make efforts to bring as many people facing serious illnesses to the "Centrul Speranței Chișinău," as this is a place where life, movement, and hope are rediscovered. The Ministry of Health will continue to support you and encourages you to continue this significant initiative for the community's benefit."

Graham PEROLLS, Founder of Hospices of Hope in the UK, expressed: "No one should go through a serious illness alone, which is why Hospices of Hope has dedicated the last 32 years to developing palliative care services in Southeast Europe. I am extremely thrilled that we have managed to open the first palliative day center in Chișinău. Having observed the team in action, I can confidently say that patients stepping into the center feel a great deal of love and compassion. Although healing may be impossible, we are here to help patients continue their fight against the disease and know that they always have a trustworthy source to turn to in times of need."

Ceslav Panico, the Ombudsman, mentioned in his welcoming remarks, "The opening of the palliative care day center is an important step in providing necessary support to patients so that they do not feel abandoned. We are delighted that there are more options in terms of palliative services, and we aim to further develop them. As the Ombudsman's Office, we have approved a development strategy for the period 2023-2030, where the main priority is the respect for the right to health. We will continue to support and promote the respect, prevention, and promotion of the right to health! We applaud the efforts made for the opening of this center and are determined to ensure access to high-quality care services for all citizens."

The event program also included a guided tour of the "Centrul Speranței Chișinău," contributing to a better understanding of the needs of our beneficiaries for whom the care services offered by the Hospices of Hope Moldova network are a last hope.
